Your business
can be a Show Sponsor!
Why does SCT need Show Sponsors?
Spencer Community Theatre is a non-profit
organization, which does not regularly receive local tax dollars
for its continued operation. Income is derived from season
memberships, door admissions, costume rentals and donations.
SCT, at times, receives grant money from the Iowa Department of
Cultural Affairs for special projects, but relies on donations
from the community for some of its operating expenses. These
donations include monetary gifts, gifts-in-kind, program and
ticket sponsorships.
What does SCT use show sponsorship dollars for?
Costs of producing shows continue to
increase. Such costs include royalties, scripts, props,
costumes, advertising and set construction. Plays
(non-musicals) can cost $8000 to produce; musicals usually cost
$13000 or more.
Why should my business consider being a Show
Sponsor?
Sponsorship promotes and helps fill the need for
theatrical arts in our community. It also shows that you and
your business are interested in contributing to the artistic
enhancement of our area. It offers you, through our sponsor
benefits, a unique and entertaining method of showing appreciation
to your employees, customers or potential customers.
What benefits does my business receive for
being a show sponsor?
-
a mention of your business in ALL show
advertising, including print, radio and television
-
