The Spencer Community Theatre's costume shop relies
on donations from the community as well as other costume shops and
theatres to provide affordable rentals for schools and other non
profit organizations. Please
visit our Donation Page for more information on donating
theatrical costumes.
For
personal donations from our community members, visit our Donating
FAQ page.
Volunteers:
We are
always looking for volunteers to help year round with
productions. We need people to do many things, not all involve
sewing. We need designers, seamstresses, crew members (to pull
costumes from stock, or purchase items), and folks to be backstage
to help actors with their costumes.
Please
click here to fill out a volunteer interest form.
Tours
and Workshops: Our staff would be happy to give a tour of
our facility to any school or community group. Tours usually
can be set up to last 20-40 minutes. Workshops are also
available. We can design a workshop for you if time allows, or you can choose
from some that we do on a regular basis. For school groups now
we have two: "Costume Design as a Profession" and
"The Costume". Each take about 15-30
minutes.
