Measurements


If you are costuming a show, or picking out a costume in the shop for a friend or family member, it is absolutely necessary to bring accurate measurements.

Our costumes are built for theatrical productions are are not like store bought costumes that are sized by regular modern sizes.  Below are instructions on how to measure accurately.  Print this page to write measurements on the chart.

Women

Bust:

Waist:

Hips:

Bust: measure around the fullest part of the bust with the arms at rest (do NOT use bra band size, as this is NOT your bust measurement).  

Waist: measure around the natural waist, which is usually around the belly button.  Do not measure low around the pants waistband, as this can add up to 10 or more inches to your waist measurement.  

Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips.

Chest: measure around the fullest part of the chest with the arms at rest.  

Waist is the first measurement of your pants size, or measure around the waist.  

Inseam: is the second number in your pants size, or measure from the top inside of the thigh down to the ankle. 

Neck: measure around the neck where your collar would be, snug but not tight.  

Sleeve: is taken from the nape of the neck down the shoulder down to the wrist, with the arm slightly bent.
